I’ve just come to the realization that the signal/noise ratio is now higher in the comments than in the blog posts themselves.
Sadly, cryptogram was something I was really looking forward to (at the time, it was a newsletter, not a blog), and it’s slowly turned into a hodgepodge of irrelevancy, with more than half the posts either about squids, for some reason, or pointing out that Bruce Schneier is the best thing since sliced bread.
Well, I’ve kept coming back all this time, though only every few days nowadays, and the most interesting things are comments. Unfortunately, these only pop up when a topical article is posted, which is not that often, so I think it’s time for me to say goodbye, and seek something, somewhere, that’s actually about crypto and security (and I mean actual articles, not links or two-line throwaway opinion).

Thanks for all the fish.

@SNR “Dear Sir, I wish to complain in the strongest possible terms about the blogs which you broadcast, about the lumberjack who wears women’s clothes.
Many of my best friends are lumberjacks and only a few of them are transvestites.

Rather than merely change the channel I must register my outrage with you and in a dramatic fashion CANCEL my subscription. This is so you’ll notice that my absence IS an absence.

Yours faithfully,

PS I have never kissed the editor of the Radio Times.”

All day on the Lexx Lexx, all day on the Lexx I did look.. finding a home for Bruce is my job, as he’s number one in my book. All week on the Lexx Lexx, all week on the Lexx I did sigh, theres nothing out here to call a home, and oh how I did try.

This is too adorable. My daughter sometimes over-corrects her pronunciation, for example changing “cuddle” to “cuttle”. We were just joking about cuddling cuttlefish yesterday. I think she may be getting one of these shirts in the near future.

@ Andrew S,

“Cuttlefish are amazing, and amazing to eat.

Not just for humans parrots and other caged birds appear to like their “bones”.

“…or pointing out that Bruce Schneier is the best thing since sliced bread.”

We never said that! We said Bruce was the best thing since bottled beer!

Buh-Bye!
