Dangit. Now I'm in the mood for kebabs. Time to hunt recipes... and squid.

ICHC has the perfect picture to go with this:

Why is there a squid post every Friday? I don't get it.

DaveJuly 31, 2009 4:59 PM

@Christopher - because squid are cool. In a nutshell.

AlexJuly 31, 2009 4:59 PM

Why is there Friday every squid post?

JimJuly 31, 2009 5:07 PM

Why is it post Friday a squid?

NothingToSeeMoveAlongJuly 31, 2009 5:20 PM

"Why is there a squid post every Friday?"

It's a DHS requirement.

"I don't get it."

See above.

Tom MJuly 31, 2009 5:50 PM

@Christopher: because if it were Thursday squid blogging there would be a squid post every Thursday. But it isn't. It's Friday squid blogging, so the squid posts are on Fridays. See, it's all perfectly logical.

AguirreJuly 31, 2009 7:33 PM

@ Christopher another reason for Friday Squid Blogging is that if Bruce blogged about squid on any more days of the week, he would have to change the name of the blog.

** Schneier on Squid

** A blog covering squid and squiddy things

@ savanik,

"Dangit. Now I'm in the mood for kebabs."

I'm definatly with you on that one 8)

And what better day for a kebab (squid or other) than a Friday either with or after a beer or three 8)

Clive RobinsonJuly 31, 2009 7:58 PM

@ Bruce,

Speaking of food (a subject quite close to my tum 8)

It is perhaps a not well kept secret that you have written the odd "food critic" piece.

As you apear to still be hopping around the world

How about mentioning any eateries you have found plesant (for whatever reason) so that others might also enjoy them?

Likewise if you are off somewhwere let other people post to say where might be nice (or to avoid).

I miss Singapore. You could have one of these with a real Orange Julius on Orchard Road!

Neil in ChicagoJuly 31, 2009 11:50 PM

ah, Singapore. That explains it. The world capital of nom nom nom.
The squid satay I had at a street stall in Bangkok was fine.

I was in a local Thai owned shop and saw some dried bbq squid snacks. I am the sort of chap that will eat anything that my religion allows at least once so I had at 'em....

It was aweful... I felt like that guy from cockeyed.com looked when he overdosed himself on Vegemite.
