They sell squid prepared many ways. Posted on October 13, 2006 at 2:51 PM • 5 Comments To receive these entries once a month by e-mail, sign up for the Crypto-Gram Newsletter. Wow. Of all the blogs I read, yours and penangtalk are the two that I would have never guessed would be linked somehow. The world is indeed a small one. I can't really recommend this place anymore because: 1. too spread out, and what is with the 'reserved' tables? I dont't like the fact that I could only order from hawker-X if I sat in a particular zone. If I want to be overwhelmed by choices, I'd rather head down to Supertanker where I can sit wherever I want, and order from any of the 50+ hawkers there. 2. the 'brothers char keow teow' (that used to be where the silverton condos are now) is no longer of the caliber that I remember them to be. Posted by: akl168 at October 13, 2006 5:38 PM How bizarre - I know the place well, and wonderful indeed it is. Personally, I don't care for eating squid, but the rest of the food in Penang is sensational! Never thought I'd see it mentioned here, of all places. Posted by: alspnost at October 14, 2006 3:12 AM Now you are making me hungry. I need to get you pictures of the squid jerky they sell in some of the local Asian markets. Good stuff. Great for squicking co-workers. Posted by: Alan at October 14, 2006 11:30 AM Haha never thought I'd see mr Schneier blog about Penang on here. I've been to the very place many times..I'm stationed in KL and a lot of amazing food can be found here too. A large part of the reason I stationed myself in Malaysia was the food :) Posted by: ShaolinTiger at October 16, 2006 7:35 AM Subscribe to comments on this entry Post a comment
