The number of cyber attacks happening every year is on the rise. We speak to Bruce Schneier, chief technology officer at the IT company Resilient Systems and a fellow at Harvard’s Berkman Center for the Internet and Society, about why it can take months before a company or organisation even realises it is under attack, and why so many are unprepared. Also, Wil van Gemert, deputy director of operations at Europol, tells us what European law enforcers are doing about it.
