Cryptography Engineering Book Review
Good review of the strengths and weaknesses of Cryptography Engineering and Applied Cryptography.
Best—at least to me—is the list of things missing, which we’ll have to address if we do another edition.

seems to me that one half of any new book on crypto should be politics becaus of the motivations for strong crypto for use in the wild like decentralized cryptographic currency, thats a whole new level
crypto has not stopped being revolutionary! its more so than ever, the stakes for losing the race have never been higher
all the money and power
no pressure bruce 😉

the smu would like to state that just like the oreilly books have rare animals on their covers so smu suggests all future books on cryptography should have pictures of animals from cryptozoology
covers of books from academia are so boring
put on a plesiosaur!

@ Bruce,
Be carefull what you wish for…
I suspect the field of endevor is growing faster than you can research and write up clearly, thus you could be entering a “Red Queen’s Race”.

I’d love to see an update to C.E. Count me as a pre-order. More on ECC and combined authentication/encryption protocols would be especially interesting.
