Conversation about Liars and Outliers on The WELL
I’m on The WELL right now—for the next week or so—discussing my new book with anyone who wants to participate.
I’m also at Dragon*Con this weekend in Atlanta.

Also, you might want to wear a name tag that says “Jay Omega – Engineering Professor”. Just in case there’s a murder.

The WELL, wow. I remember when Billy Idol hung out at the WELL and that kind of made BBS’s cool.
Who actually owns the it now? Google…

That’s a good question. The WELL is currently owned by Salon, but it’s members are negotiating its purchase: http://nwn.blogs.com/nwn/2012/07/will-the-well-survive-members-pledge-to-buy-from-salon.html The WELL has actually continued to serve an active, though somewhat smaller, community of users. Inkwell.vue, the WELL forum where we’re having the discussion, is world-readable and has high traffic because we interview a lot of high-profile authors (like Bruce) there. Bruce didn’t mention it, but you can send comments or questions via a link in the footer.

Was great to meet you and see you this weekend, Bruce.
Just next time (if we’ve not scared you off) remember I can’t see that well, and pick the questioner, and I’ll get the mic there SOMEHOW!
Audio will be up this week I hope.
